1) The Village Larder
"You can check out any time you like but you can never leave!" says The Village Larder. Who would have thought a little cafe located in Woodend offers very good coffee and cafe food. I enjoy their home made scones with the house made butter and jam, and their hot chocolate. This cozy cafe is always full of people and it is defiantly a coffee or afternoon tea destination while you driving through the Macedon Ranges.

2) ST. BEANS Provedore
This cafe offers nice coffee and home made pastries. I like their almond croissant very much, not only because it tastes good, but also because they are made into the right size, each croissant per person, never too much and never not enough. Enjoy a bottle of Harcourt sparkling apple juice on a hot day while you are sitting outside.

Sign up for their cooking classes if you are interested in learning how to pickle veg or fruit, break down a whole pig, how to make Pâté etc.

This very modern looking cafe has a different and nice touch on their Chai Latte. If you are a fan of the Australian sweets, try their cherry ripe cake and a brewed bounty hot drink. They offer all day breakfast from $6.5. Try the Dr Marty's Crumpets, one of the traditional Australian food.
